Last week was my orientation week at my new job. Five days of sitting at a table going through seminars, lectures, and studying endless packets of procedures and documents. Training at work continues. As I said before, my trainer is usually too busy to properly train me. My final test is this Thursday. Am I ready? Maybe. Just in case, I've got all my notes here and I'll be studying until then. Welcome to summer, my North American peoples! The longest day of the year was a couple days ago, and it's really nice to have sunlight hanging around until 10 PM. Six months from now, when the sun goes down by 5 PM, I'll be wishing it were June again simply so that the short length of the day isn't so depressing. So almost two weeks ago, I purchased a device on eBay called a Firewire Enclosure. Basically, they're boxes that you hook up to your computer so you can have external DVD burners or hard drives. Being that I have a laptop, my only option for extra storage space is to get enclosures. I bought a new enclosure because the one I've had for my DVD ( Read more... )
